Architecture and More’ UK Arena Tour – November 2021

Tickets On Sale Here

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) have announced that they will release ‘Souvenir’, ‘Joan Of Arc’ and ‘Maid Of Orleans’, the international hit singles from their 1981 album, Architecture and Morality, on 12” vinyl on October 15th on UMC/EMI. The announcement follows their incredible ‘You Me & OMD’ livestream at London’s Indigo at The O2, which raised funds for the cast and crew whose livelihoods have been affected by Covid-19,

Released in 1981, Architecture & Morality was OMD’s third genre defying studio album. Its iconic use of the Mellotron and choral samples resulted in international critical acclaim and has sold over four million copies worldwide. The three singles from the album, ‘Souvenir’, ‘Joan Of Arc’ and ‘Maid Of Orleans’, all reached the top 5 in the UK singles chart and sold a total of eight million copies combined. It was an album that further solidified OMD as the Kings of the synth-pop world.

“The success of Architecture and Morality took us all by surprise,” Andy McCluskey commented. “Once again we had followed our raison d’être of changing musical style, but we seemed to have really hit upon a sound that resonated with a wide audience. The three singles ‘Souvenir’, ‘Joan of Arc’, and ‘Maid of Orleans’ all went top five in the UK. To this day they remain the “Holy Trinity” in the middle of our live stage performances and the audience reaction is always rapturous.”

Now, for the first time, the band will release the hits as three 12” singles on 45 rpm coloured vinyl. The vinyl contains a triple gatefold sleeve, silver-board & emboss detail as well as a download card and is available to pre-order now from HERE.

OMD will also embark on a UK arena tour in November, which will see the band perform songs from ‘Architecture & Morality’, plus many more from their legendary back catalogue. The tour will stop off at London’s Eventim Apollo, as well as two hometown shows at the Liverpool Empire and Olympia.

Strap in and prepare for nothing but the best from a band who are unquestionably still at the very top of their game.

The band will play the following UK arena headline shows in November 2021:

UK & Ireland Tour Announced For Spring 2022

Having now completed his third full decade as a recording artist, The Divine Comedy, aka Neil Hannon, today announces the treasure trove that is Charmed Life – The Best Of The Divine Comedya collection of his finest moments, out February 4th 2022.

A 24 track career-spanning roster of hit singles and fan favourites, compiled by Neil and remastered at Abbey Road Studios, Charmed Life includes monumental tracks ‘National Express’, ‘Something For The Weekend’, ‘Songs of Love’, ‘Our Mutual Friend’, ‘A Lady of A Certain Age’, ‘To The Rescue’ and ‘Norman and Norma’. It also features brand new track ‘The Best Mistakes.’

“I’ve been luckier than most,” Neil Hannon reflected. “I get to sing songs to people for a living and they almost always applaud. So when asked what to call this collection I thought of Charmed Life. I like the song and it rather sums up how I feel about my life.”

The Best Of will arrive as a 24 track standard 2CD; double heavyweight black vinyl in a gatefold sleeve; limited edition double heavyweight colour vinyl in a gatefold sleeve; and as a limited edition 3CD edition containing the 24 track Best Of as well as “Super Extra Bonus Album” – a collection of new and unreleased recordings.

Discussing the bonus album, Neil continues: “It felt right to celebrate thirty years of The Divine Comedy. I can’t give you an overview of these songs. They’re a crazy mixed up bunch. Some are strangely seasonal, some relate to what we’ve all been going through recently, some are just nuts. Enjoy!”

In 1990 musical history was made when a 20 year old Neil Hannon signed his first record deal and began releasing one glorious album after another under the name The Divine Comedy. Twelve magnificent albums and hundreds of spellbinding shows later, Neil Hannon is now, without doubt, a national treasure and one of the finest singer songwriters of his generation.

Celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Ten and 25th Anniversary of No Code

With Fan Memories, New Digital Releases, and a Stream of Iconic Moline Show

New Mixes of Ten and No Code Created by Producer Josh Evans in Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio for State-of-the-Art Immersive Listening Experiences

Pearl Jam is celebrating the anniversaries of its seminal albums Ten and No Code, launched on the same day, 5 years apart. In the Fall of 1991, a period known as the
“60 days that changed rock,” there were epic album releases by artists Soundgarden, Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and Pearl Jam with Ten. The band is asking fans to take to social media to share their memories of these iconic albums using the hashtags #30YearsOfTen and #25YearsOfNoCode. The campaign is a nostalgic look back to the nineties surfacing fan-lensed in-concert videos, behind-the-scenes photos, candid snapshots, ticket stubs, personal anecdotes about meeting the band.

The Ten Club (Pearl Jam’s fan community) will present a free streaming event of the historic Moline, Illinois show (October 17, 2014) where Pearl Jam played No Code live from start to finish. Pearl Jam: The No Code Show, a Free Streaming Event begins Friday, August 27 at 5pm (PT) on the band’s YouTube channel and runs through Monday, August 30 at 11:59pm (PT).

To further celebrate the anniversary, Epic Records and Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, are releasing newly remixed state-of-the-art digital-only editions of Ten and No Code on Friday, August 27.

Both the 30th anniversary digital edition of Ten and the 25th anniversary digital edition of No Code have been mixed by producer/sound engineer Josh Evans in state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos and Sony 360 Reality Audio to provide listeners with an immersive sonic experience. Evans–who began working with the band as an assistant engineer and tech during the making of the eponymous Pearl Jam (aka the “Avocado” album) in 2006–produced 2020’s Gigaton, the first new Pearl Jam studio album in seven years, and deployed Dolby Atmos to bring listeners further into each song with more detail and nuance.

“These two albums sound amazing in the immersive format,” said Josh Evans. “For Ten, the goal was to create the best version of the record, bigger, wider and higher fidelity; now, it actually sounds as great coming out of your speakers as it does in your memory of hearing it the first time. 25 years ahead of its time, No Code almost sounds like it was intended to be an immersive album; experimental layers, nuance and raw aggression are all amplified and expanded in a simultaneously bigger and more intimate experience.”

Ten, Pearl Jam’s groundbreaking debut, was originally released on August 27, 1991. A phenomenal critical and popular success, Ten established Pearl Jam as avatars for a new generation of rock; propelled by the energy of hits like “Alive,” “Jeremy,” “Even Flow” and “Ocean,” the album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified 13x Platinum by the RIAA.

August 27, 1996, marked the release of No Code, Pearl Jam’s fourth studio album. The third consecutive Pearl Jam album to enter the Billboard 200 at #1, the RIAA Platinum-certified No Code reinforced the band’s commitment to provocative musical exploration with songs like “Who You Are,” “Hail, Hail” and “Off He Goes.” The album enhanced the band’s reputation as international superstars as it hit #1 in Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, Portugal and Sweden and Top 5 (or better) in Austria, Ireland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Finland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.

On July 17, 2021, with 2021 marking the 30th anniversary of Pearl Jam’s iconic debut album, Ten, Legacy Recordings and Record Store Day released special 12″ and cassette single editions of “Alive,” the track that kicked PJ into high gear. The 12″ features the original promo single version of “Alive” plus three rare B-sides: “Wash,” “Dirty Frank” and PJ’s cover of the Beatles’ “I’ve Got A Feeling,” currently unavailable anywhere else. All four tracks are included on side A while side B contains an etching of the band’s ‘Stick Man’ logo. The “Alive” cassette single is a replica of the promo cassette originally circulated at the time of Ten‘s release. It includes the promo single version of “Alive” plus “Wash” and “I’ve Got A Feeling,” repeated on both sides.

After a period out-of-print, Epic/Legacy released a new 12″ vinyl pressing of No Code on August 13th. This collector’s edition features the album’s original artwork and packaging with each album containing the same set of nine postcards (original pressings featured nine postcards randomly chosen from a complete set of 36).

The Let It Be album has been newly mixed by producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell in stereo, 5.1 surround DTS, and Dolby Atmos. The album’s sweeping new Special Edition follows the universally acclaimed remixed and expanded anniversary editions of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (2017), The BEATLES (‘White Album’) (2018), and Abbey Road (2019). All the new Let It Be releases feature the new stereo mix of the album as guided by the original “reproduced for disc” version by Phil Spector and sourced directly from the original session and rooftop performance eight-track tapes. The physical and digital Super Deluxe collections also feature 27 previously unreleased session recordings, a four-track Let It Be EP, and the never before released 14-track Get Back stereo LP mix compiled by engineer Glyn Johns in May 1969.

On January 2, 1969, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr kickstarted the new year together on a cavernous soundstage at Twickenham Film Studios in London. The Beatles jumped into rehearsals for a project envisioned to get them back to where they once belonged: onstage. For 21 days, cameras and tape recorders documented almost every moment: first at Twickenham and then at The Beatles’ own Apple Studio, where Billy Preston joined them on keyboards. Together they rehearsed brand new originals and jammed on older songs, all captured live and unvarnished.

On January 30, the cameras and recorders were rolling as The Beatles, with Preston, staged what was to be their final concert on the chilly rooftop of their Savile Row Apple Corps headquarters before a small assembly of family and friends, and any others who were within wind-carried range of their amps. The midday performance brought London’s West End to a halt as necks craned skyward from the streets and the windows of neighboring buildings were flung open for better vantage. A flurry of noise complaints drew police officers to the rooftop, shutting the concert down after 42 minutes.

Work to compile an album to be called “Get Back” was carried out in April and May by Glyn Johns, who, for his version, included false starts, banter between songs, early takes rather than later, more polished performances, and even “I’ve Got A Feeling” falling apart with John explaining, “I cocked it up trying to get loud.” The Beatles, however, decided to shelve the project’s copious tapes, film reels, and photos, in order to record and release their LP masterpiece, Abbey Road. Drawn from the tapes made in January 1969, plus some sessions which preceded and followed those recordings, The Beatles’ final album, Let It Be, was eventually issued on May 8, 1970 (May 18 in the U.S.) to accompany the release of the Let It Be film.

The sessions that brought about the Let It Be album and film represent the only time in The Beatles’ career that they were documented at such great length while creating music in the studio. More than 60 hours of unreleased film footage, more than 150 hours of unreleased audio recordings, and hundreds of unpublished photographs have been newly explored and meticulously restored for three complementary and definitive Beatles releases this fall: a feast for the senses spanning the entire archival treasure. The new Let It Be Special Edition is joined by “The Beatles: Get Back”, the hotly-anticipated documentary series directed by three-time Oscar®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, and a beautiful new hardcover book also titled The Beatles: Get Back. The raw sources explored for the new projects have revealed that a more joyous, benevolent spirit imbued the sessions than was conveyed in the 1970 Let It Be film’s 80 minutes.

“I had always thought the original film Let It Be was pretty sad as it dealt with the break-up of our band, but the new film shows the camaraderie and love the four of us had between us,” writes Paul McCartney in his foreword for the Let It Be Special Edition book. “It also shows the wonderful times we had together, and combined with the newly remastered Let It Be album, stands as a powerful reminder of this time. It’s how I want to remember The Beatles.”

When The Beatles arrived at Twickenham in January 1969, their self-titled album (AKA ‘The White Album’) was still topping charts around the world following its November 1968 release. They had an ambitious plan in mind for a project that would include a stage performance for a “TV spectacular” and a live album. Michael Lindsay-Hogg was hired to direct the concert and document the rehearsals with unfettered “fly-on-the-wall” filming and mono audio recording on two camera-linked Nagra reel-to-reel tape machines. Ethan A. Russell was brought in for exclusive all-access photography. Beatles producer George Martin and engineer Glyn Johns supervised the sound. Johns remembers, “Paul told me he had this idea to do a live concert and he wanted me to engineer it, because I had a reasonably good track record of making live albums.” Impressed by the band’s day-to-day progress with their slate of new songs, Martin later recalled, “It was a great idea, which I thought was well worth working on. A live album of new material. Most people who did a live album would be rehashing old stuff.” After 10 days on the soundstage, The Beatles and the film crew later moved to the band’s more intimate and cosy Apple Studio. There, Johns manned the controls of borrowed equipment from The Beatles’ old stomping ground, Abbey Road Studios, to record on eight-track tape. Billy Preston was invited to play keyboards with the band at Apple, lifting the sessions with his boundless talent and buoyant bonhomie.

In April 1969, The Beatles rush-released their worldwide number one single “Get Back”/“Don’t Let Me Down”. Promoted as “The Beatles as nature intended” and “as live as can be, in this electronic age,” both sides of the disc were credited to “The Beatles with Billy Preston”. “The greatest surprise was when the record came out,” Preston remembered in 2002. “They didn’t tell me they were going to put my name on it! The guys were really kind to me.” The “Let It Be” single produced by George Martin, released March 6, 1970, is different from the album version “reproduced” by Phil Spector. Exemplifying Spector’s signature Wall of Sound production style on the Let It Be album is his orchestral overdub on “The Long and Winding Road”, which became The Beatles’ 20th U.S. number one single.

Directed by Peter Jackson (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy, “They Shall Not Grow Old”), “The Beatles: Get Back” takes audiences back in time to the band’s intimate recording sessions during a pivotal moment in music history. Because of the wealth of tremendous footage Jackson has reviewed, which he has spent the past three years restoring and editing, “The Beatles: Get Back” will be presented as three separate episodes. Each episode is approximately two hours in length, rolling out over three days, November 25, 26 and 27, 2021, exclusively on Disney+.

The documentary series showcases the warmth, camaraderie and creative genius that defined the legacy of the iconic foursome, compiled from over 60 hours of unseen footage shot in January 1969 (by Michael Lindsay-Hogg) and more than 150 hours of unheard audio, all of which has been brilliantly restored. Jackson is the only person in 50 years to have been given access to these private film archives. “The Beatles: Get Back” is the story of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr as they plan their first live show in over two years, capturing the writing and rehearsing of 14 new songs, originally intended for release on an accompanying live album. The documentary features – for the first time in its entirety – The Beatles’ last live performance as a group, the unforgettable rooftop concert on London’s Savile Row, as well as other songs and classic compositions featured on the band’s final two albums, Abbey Road and Let It Be. The music in the series is also newly mixed by Giles Martin (“Rocketman”) and Sam Okell (“Yesterday”).

Ahead of the series’ debut, Apple Corps Ltd./Callaway Arts & Entertainment will release The Beatles: Get Back book worldwide on October 12. Available in English and nine international language editions, The Beatles: Get Back is the first official standalone book to be released by The Beatles since international bestseller The Beatles Anthology. Beautifully designed and produced, the 240-page hardcover complements the “Get Back” documentary series and Let It Be Special Edition with transcriptions of many of The Beatles’ recorded conversations from the three weeks of rehearsals and sessions and hundreds of exclusive, never-before-published images, including photos by Ethan A. Russell and Linda McCartney. The Beatles: Get Back begins with a foreword written by Peter Jackson and an introduction by Hanif Kureishi. The book’s texts are edited by John Harris. Return With New Album ‘The Future’

Out November 5th On Stax

New Single ‘Survivor’ Out Now

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats return with their third studio album, The Future, released on November 5 via Stax Records.

For the recording, Rateliff and The Night Sweats escaped to his new Colorado studio to write an album’s worth of songs, shedding light on their unique observations and songwriting reflecting on our current times. While recognisable, the new work has evolved and pushes the band to a new level.

“I look at the album overall as a big question,” notes Rateliff. “When I was writing the record we were in the middle of a pandemic and our future looked pretty bleak. I just continue to try to write from a place of hope. Then my own neurosis, and maybe being a libra gets in the way, and I can’t make up my mind. There is this constant back and forth battle in me personally and I am sure that comes out in my writing.”

The Future’s lead single, “Survivor,” debuts today. The song concludes with Rateliff singing, “I’m afraid that the weight of the world is catching up to you / I’m afraid to admit that it’s catching up to me too / Does the weight continue to grow until it finally buries you?” Listen to/share the track HERE.

Recorded at Rateliff’s own Broken Creek Studio outside of Denver, The Future was produced by Bradley Cook (Bon Iver, Kevin Morby, The War on Drugs) and R.M.B.—the production trio of Rateliff, Patrick Meese (The Night Sweats) and James Barone (Beach House)—who were the team behind Rateliff’s acclaimed 2020 solo album, And It’s Still Alright. Additional production was added by musician, engineer and producer Elijah Thompson (Father John Misty, Richard Swift) while Jenny Lewis, Jess Wolfe (Lucius) and Amelia Meath (Sylvan Esso) contributed backing vocals.

The Future caps off a run of career milestones for Rateliff and the band, including a debut on “Saturday Night Live” in March featuring the premiere performance of “Redemption,” written and featured in the film, Palmer, starring Justin Timberlake as well as an appearance on “CMT Crossroads” with country singer/songwriter Margo Price while Rateliff’s “Tiny Desk (Home) Concert” premiered on NPR Music.

Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are Rateliff (vocals, guitar), Joseph Pope III (bass), Meese (drums, percussion, keys), Luke Mossman (guitar), Mark Shusterman (organ, keys), Andreas Wild (saxophone), Daniel Hardaway (trumpet) and Jeff Dazey (saxophone).

The band’s self-titled debut album was a breakout success. Now certified Gold in the U.S., it has sold over a million records worldwide. Their sophomore album Tearing at the Seams debuted in March 2018 to widespread critical acclaim and included three singles which hit #1 at Triple A Radio. Last year, Rateliff released his first solo album in seven years via Stax Records. And It’s Still Alright peaked at #3 on iTunes’ “Top Albums” chart, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Americana/Folk” chart, landed at #2 on their “Current Rock” chart and resided at #1 on the Americana Albums Chart for eight consecutive weeks. Earlier this year, Rateliff released a new live album, Red Rocks 2020, which was recorded in an empty Red Rocks Amphitheatre during Rateliff’s mid-September run of socially distanced shows.

Film Adaptation of the Award-Winning Hit Musical will premiere September 17th

Prime Video Official Teaser | Watch via YouTube

After the announcement that Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the much-anticipated film adaptation of the award-winning West End hit musical, will launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th September, now comes the arrival of the accompanying Original Soundtrack, mostly written by The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie Sells – out September 10th on Island Records.

‘While You’re Still Young’ (Sophie Ellis-Bextor & The Feeling) is available today, written exclusively for the film – listen here

Since the last Feeling album 5 years ago, frontman Dan Gillespie Sells has been a busy boy! The musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, has quickly become one the most successful new musicals of the last decade. Premiering at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, before transferring to London’s Apollo Theatre, the production was an overnight success amongst audiences and critics, receiving rave reviews and garnering five Olivier Award nominations. The acclaimed musical picked up Best Musical Production at the Theatre Awards.

The star studded film, stars the breakout discovery Max Harwood as Jamie New, alongside Sarah Lancashire, Lauren Patel, Shobna Gulati, Ralph Ineson, Adeel Akhtar, Samuel Bottomley, with Sharon Horgan and Richard E. Grant.

The soundtrack, written by Gillespie Sells with lyrics from Tom MacRae and scored by Anne Dudley and Dan, with string arrangements by Anne Dudley, features stand out songs from the stage show including ‘And You Don’t Even Know It’, ‘The Wall In My Head’ and ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ as well as an exclusive new song ‘This Was Me’, performed by Holly Johnson, lead singer of Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It also boasts further tracks from Chaka Khan, Richard E. Grant, The Feeling, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Becky Hill & many more.

“It’s miraculous this film ever happened,” says Dan. “But I’m so glad it did. We’ve been talking about it since the first run of shows in Sheffield. The story really has an effect on people.”

No doubt this big budget film and lovingly put together soundtrack will resonate just as much. Sophie Ellis-Bextor says of being involved “I’m really thrilled to be a part of such a brilliant film and wonderful soundtrack. I adore ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’ and it still gets me every time I watch it. It’s glorious.”

“It’s funny”, Dan muses. “A review of a Feeling album once mentioned disparagingly that it sounded like musical theatre. I took it as a compliment”.

And we can all be grateful for that!

Reunite for Raise The Roof

Out November 19 on Warner Music

The Follow-Up To Their Six-Time Grammy-Winning Platinum Debut
Raising Sand (2007)

Listen To New Track ‘Can’t Let Go’ HERE

Today, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss have announced the forthcoming release of their new album Raise The Roof, out November 19 on Warner Music. The surprise announcement finds Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Plant and 27-time Grammy-winner Krauss, reunited after some fourteen years, following the historic success of their first collaboration Raising Sand (2007), which reached #2 on the Official UK Chart, generated multi-platinum sales, and earned six Grammy Awards including Album and Record of the Year.

Like its predecessor, Raise The Roof was produced by T Bone Burnett, who worked with Plant and Krauss to expand their collaboration in thrilling new directions, accompanied by drummer Jay Bellerose, guitarists Marc Ribot, David Hidalgo, Bill Frisell, and Buddy Miller, bassists Dennis Crouch and Viktor Krauss, along with pedal steel guitarist Russ Pahl among others.

The album features twelve new recordings of songs by legends and unsung heroes including Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, The Everly Brothers, Anne Briggs, Geeshie Wiley, Bert Jansch and more. Other highlights include a Plant-Burnett original, “High and Lonesome,” and the classic “Can’t Let Go,” written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have shared their new recording “Can’t Let Go” today, listen HERE: https://plantkrauss.lnk.to/CantLetGo.

The songs selected for Raise The Roof alternately reflect deep-rooted influences and new revelations. For his part, Robert Plant was keen to introduce the English folk traditions he has loved since adolescence, while Krauss cites hearing “Quattro (World Drift In)” by the American group Calexico, as “the moment I knew we’d make another album.”

“We wanted it to move,” Krauss continues. “We brought other people in, other personalities within the band, and coming back together again in the studio brought a new intimacy to the harmonies.”

Adds Plant: “You hear something and you go ‘Man, listen to that song, we got to sing that song!’ It’s a vacation, really—the perfect place to go that you least expected to find.”

Released in 2007, Raising Sand is one of the most beloved and acclaimed albums of the 21st century. In addition to winning all six Grammy Awards for which it was nominated it was also certified double platinum in the UK.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will tour together in 2022, with dates to be announced soon.

Releases Heartwarming Ode To A Lockdown Relationship

‘Wish You Missed Me More’ Out Now

Following a debut appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and his subsequent signing to global management company Interland Music (James Blunt, Grace Jones, Sky Ferreira), rising star Alfie Sheard is now releasing a new, heartfelt acoustic ballad, ‘Wish You Missed Me More’.

Produced by James New (Mumm-Ra, Saint Raymond, Pixx, Mullally, Lauren Aquilina) and with a pitch-perfect vocal-line and a hypnotic guitar, ‘Wish You Missed Me More’ is an ode to the struggles of maintaining a relationship during the pandemic. “I wrote ‘Wish You Missed Me More’ after a heartbreaking phone call with my girlfriend whilst we were stuck in quarantine 150 miles apart,” Alfie commented on the track. “To deal/cope with the pain of missing her, I flooded my days with constant work! I will never forget the moment she cried, ‘It’s all good saying that you love me, I just Wish You Missed Me More…’”

Listen to ‘Wish You Missed Me More’ HERE and watch the lyric video HERE

Originally hailing from Rotherham, England, Alfie Sheard picked up the guitar at age 11 and has been inseparable from it ever since. As a teenager, he shot to fame after a video of him busking in the streets of Doncaster went viral exceeding over 18M hits. An international hit, Ellen DeGeneres was among one of the people to recognise Alfie’s raw talent and jetted him off to the US to perform in front of millions on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Also recognising Alfie’s talent was none other than the king of the guitar pop song himself, Ed Sheeran, who gifted Alfie with one of his signed guitars on the show.

Following his stint as the support act for Young Voices on their 2018 UK arena tour, including London’s O2 Arena, Alfie has also just recently supported James Blunt, which included his London show at the Royal Albert Hall.

Alfie has already garnered a loyal fan base and is well on his way to becoming the UK’s next big star. Watch this space for new music soon!

Twin Atlantic Release Video For New Track

‘Bang On The Gong’

WATCH HERE

11-date August/September 2021 UK Headline Tour

Twin Atlantic have returned in style. After last year’s impeccable studio album POWER, the boys today drop ‘Bang On The Gong’ – premiering on Radio 1, the track oozes style, charisma and swagger in a way they’ve never delivered before, marking the start of a new chapter in the Scots’ prolific career. Watch the video, directed by Nick Afchain, HERE.

With ‘Bang On The Gong’, the name of a fictional variety show, frontman Sam McTrusty, slips with ease into a reserved, charming, fun and seductive role. The presenter of ‘Bang On The Gong’, performing alongside dancers, Sam is thrust front and centre, embracing a fun and exciting direction for Twin Atlantic.

McTrusty says: “We let the director Nick Afchain take the lead and he imagined “Bang On The Gong’ as an old seedy 70’s TV show. It’s very tongue-and-cheek, which matches the song because the track doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s been so much more relaxing letting people who inspire you take the reins, instead of others doing it for you, and it allows for everyone to feel much more invested in the project. I could taste the cigarettes for about 3 days after the shoot! 90% of the people in the studio that day were some of my best mates, which was a new experience. I felt really proud of everyone involved on a personal level.”

Taking the role of producer, the band’s bassist, Ross McNae, said of the video: “Taking more than a little influence from a recent movie, the possible narrative of our video highlights the fleeting nature of success, while also shining a light on how far we’ve come as a society since those days. After eighteen months of turmoil is there any other way to play the visuals than to have fun and not take life too seriously?”

With live music returning to the fore, the band recently delivered a triumphant main stage performance at this year’s Download Festival Pilot, and will now hit the road for their re-scheduled 11-date August/September UK headline tour.

Bold, adventurous, and a load of fun. This is just the start of a new era for Twin Atlantic. Watch this space….
