Margo Price has released “Stone Me,” her first new song in over two years, out now on Loma Vista Recordings. She performed the song last night on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, capping a special episode of the show with a bold proclamation:

Love me, hate me

Desecrate me

Call me a bitch

then call me baby

You don’t know me

You don’t own me

Yeah that’s no way

To stone me

Listen to ‘Stone Me’ HERE

Watch the Samantha Bee performance here, and Margo’s interview with correspondent Sasheer Zamata here.

Margo says, “After what feels like an eternity, I’m releasing a new song into the wild today. It’s been hard to keep everything I’ve been working on for the last year to myself and I’m so excited to share it.”

“Stone Me” follows what was a busy 2019 for Margo. She started the year with a Best New Artist Grammy nomination, toured with Chris Stapleton, performed at concert tributes to Loretta Lynn, Mavis Staples, and Dolly Parton – the latter of which aired on the NBC special Dolly Parton: 50 Years at the Opry – and released her own cannabis strain via Willie’s Reserve. In December, Esquire, Billboard, and Pitchfork all named Margo’s last record, 2017’s All American Made, one of the top albums of the decade, with Esquire observing that “Price cemented her status as this generation’s Young or Nelson; a stark truth-teller of the finest degree.

4 Date UK April Tour Includes London Roundhouse

Hotly Tipped For 2020

As they gear up for a huge 2020, the band have kicked off the year being hotly tipped by media across the board. Sea Girls unleash their dynamic new anthem ‘Ready For More’, taken from their forthcoming new EP ‘Under Exit Lights’ – out March 6th on Polydor and available on limited edition 12’’ vinyl, CD and all DSPs – here.

On the themes of the new single, charismatic lead singer Henry Camamile explains; “‘Ready For More’ is the bad apple of the EP. It looks and sounds sweet, but it’s basically staring into this abyss of nihilistic behaviour and being scared that I couldn’t change it. This song practically embraces the slippery slope I was on.”

‘Under Exit Lights’ EP Track Listing:

              1. Ready For More
              2. Why Won’t You Admit
              3. Closer
              4. Violet
              5. Timeless
              6. Soldier On

2019 was quite a year for Sea Girls, one of the UK’s most exciting new bands, named after a misheard lyric from a Nick Cave song. They signed a major record deal with Polydor, are touring the globe, triumphed at Reading and played their biggest UK show to date when they sold out London’s Forum to 2,300 fans.

Sea Girls are a band aiming first and foremost at being the singalong torch bearers for a whole new generation. Much of their success is driven by their essential energetic live performances and uncanny ability to write songs like ‘Violet’ and ‘Damage Done’ that enjoy heavy Radio 1 support.

In March they release the brand new EP, ‘Under Exit Lights’, featuring more infectious jagged life songs and in April play their biggest UK tour yet. “The lyrics for these songs draw their soul from my life of late nights and the mornings after – about being young and going out a lot,” Henry explains.  “It involves dark thoughts, anxiety, but ends in hope, positivity and optimism.”

Sea Girls are spreading their wings around the globe and continue to lyrically look their generation in the eye, singing to their era and embracing their silent crisis of confidence.

2020 UK Headline Tour
London, Royal Albert Hall – April 7th

James Blunt has made one of the most compelling videos of his career for his new song ‘Monsters’, one of the highlights from his acclaimed UK Top 3 album ‘Once Upon A Mind’ – out now on Atlantic Records. Watch HERE.

Filmed in Oxfordshire and directed by Vaughn Arnell – who has previously worked with James, Robbie Williams, The Spice Girls, George Michael and One DIrection among many others – the stark, emotive video was conceived by James personally. “Monsters is for my father who has Stage 4 Chronic Kidney disease, so I asked if he’d like to be in the video with me.”

The simple, minimal and stirring track is one of the most personal songs James has ever written. A heartbreaking ode from a son to his father, the track showcases James’ emotional vocal line at its strongest and is certain to reduce even the most resilient to tears. Without question, it will certainly be one of the most talked about videos of the year. The centuries old, Gothic house where the video was filmed was also home to James Bond in the film ‘Quantum of Solace’.

Since playing the song live on Chris Evans’ Virgin Radio show last month and then performing it on this year’s BBC Festival of Remembrance TV program, the song has gained a life of its own, driven by James generously donating all royalties to Help for Heroes and the British Legion.

The chorus of ‘Monsters’ strikes a chord with us all:

‘I’m not your son. You’re not my father,

We’re just two grown men saying goodbye.

No need to forgive. No need to forget.

I know your mistakes and you know mine.

And while you’re sleeping, I’ll try to make you proud.

So daddy, won’t you close your eyes.

Don’t be afraid. It’s my turn to chase the monsters away.’

James will head out on a major UK and European tour including a must-see show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 7th. He plays the following UK shows.

North American Spring Tour Dates Announced

Pearl Jam will release their much-anticipated eleventh studio album, Gigaton, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records on March 27, 2020 in the US. Internationally, the album will be released and distributed by Universal Music Group. Produced by Josh Evans and Pearl Jam, Gigaton marks the band’s first studio album since GRAMMY award-winning Lightning Bolt, which was released on October 15, 2013. Gigaton is available for pre-order now at www.pearljam.com. The first single, “Dance of the Clairvoyants”, will be released in the coming weeks.

“Making this record was a long journey,” explains Mike McCready. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”

Gigaton’s cover features Canadian photographer, filmmaker, and marine biologist Paul Nicklen’s photo “Ice Waterfall.” Taken in Svalbard, Norway, this image features the Nordaustlandet ice cap gushing high volumes of meltwater.

In support of Gigaton, Pearl Jam will embark on their first leg of North American tour dates in March and April. The 16-date tour kicks-off on March 18 in Toronto and wraps with a two-date stint in Oakland April 18-19. ‘And It’s Still Alright’ out Feb 14th on Stax Records

Title Track Out Now

Plays London’s Royal Albert Hall 29th April

Nathaniel Rateliff is set to release, And Its Still Alright, his first solo album in nearly seven years, on February 14th, 2020 via Stax Records.

When Rateliff began writing for the new album, the songs initially centered on the pain of his unraveling relationship, but the theme of the album took a different direction when Richard Swift, his longtime friend and producer of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats’ two acclaimed albums, passed away in July 2018. Across the 10 tracks on And It’s Still Alright, you can feel Rateliff faltering but never losing hope—hope that it’s all part of a bigger plan. While the songs are quieter and more reflective than the exuberant soul The Night Sweats have become famous for, they are no less urgent and indelible, as he pushes the boundaries and finds new depths in his songwriting—a singular voice embarking on a personal exploration of love, loss and perseverance.

Rateliff wrote the album’s lead single and title track, “And It’s Still Alright,” specifically about Swift—a song of haunting grace and acceptance. Watch the Rett Rogers-directed video HERE.

“I think I always want to see hope in the darkness, and I like to try to share that,” Rateliff explains. “I always try to write from a perspective of trying to approach everything very honestly, even if it leaves me vulnerable. But overall, it’s almost like I’m a different character when I’m writing for myself.” He continues, “I think this album is a reminder that we all go through hardship, but regardless of the hardship everything ends up where it’s supposed to. I still continue to live, and I still continue to find joy. I think that’s the theme of the record.”

To record And It’s Still Alright, Rateliff returned to Swift’s studio, National Freedom, in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He was joined by co-producers Patrick Meese (longtime collaborator and The Night Sweats drummer) and James Barone (Beach House drummer), who both also engineered and mixed the record. The album features additional contributions from Tom Hagerman (DeVotchKa violinist), Luke Mossman (The Night Sweats guitarist), Elijah Thomson (Everest bassist), Daniel Creamer (The Texas Gentlemen keyboardist) and Eric Swanson (steel guitarist).

Growing up in rural Missouri, Rateliff got his early music education from his family, who performed in the church band in which Rateliff played drums, and his father’s record collection. At 19, Rateliff moved to Denver where he spent the next 10 years working night shifts at a bottle factory and a trucking company while testing out songs at open-mic nights. Preceding the emergence of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Nathaniel released three albums and an EP; Desire and Dissolving Men (2007), In Memory of Loss (2010), Falling Faster Than You Can Run (2013) and the Closer EP (2014).

In 2015, Rateliff launched Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. The band’s self-titled debut album was a breakout success; now certified Gold in the U.S., it has sold over a million records worldwide. Their sophomore album, Tearing at the Seams, was released in March, 2018 to widespread acclaim and featured three singles that hit #1 at Triple A Radio (“You Worry Me,” “A Little Honey” and “Hey Mama”). Rateliff and the band have appeared on nearly every late-night television program and toured extensively worldwide, playing major festivals and selling out iconic venues including their hometown Red Rocks Amphitheater multiple times.

And It’s Still Alright is available for pre-order now HERE.

‘Hotel Song’ Out Now

Simone Felice presents Diana DeMuth at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on 15th January 2020

Restless and ready to pave her own way, Diana DeMuth has burst onto the singer-songwriter scene with an arresting perspective about life, love and self-discovery through new single ‘Hotel Song’. Diana has also announced her producer and collaborator Simone Felice (Bat For Lashes, The Lumineers, Jade Bird) will introduce her music live at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on 15th January. The show will see Diana and Simone perform solo sets, as well as tracks together.

Conceived in a London hotel and produced by multi-platinum record producer Simone Felice, ‘Hotel Song’ is an emotionally charged anthem; the vagabond chorus evokes the liberating feeling of driving down an empty road with nothing but your dreams, destiny and the windows down. Speaking of the track Diana says, ‘“Hotel Song is really about self-discovery and liberation. It’s about finding the inner strength to set yourself free from whatever holds you back’.

Listen To ‘Hotel Song’ HERE

Growing up on the coast of Massachusetts, DeMuth was immersed in a bohemian upbringing where she moved from place to place with hippie parents. That same restless spirit inhabited DeMuth: she always had a sense that there was something out there beyond where she grew up and that existence. At 19, after going to college for one week, DeMuth left because she was certain music was her path. For the past five years, she’s focused on just that, spending her time traveling and playing small gigs around America, while waitressing and honing her craft.

DeMuth and Felice teamed up with Felice’s longtime collaborator David Baron at a Catskill Mountain house overlooking the Shokan Reservoir outside Woodstock where the music flowed quickly and freely, and together they began to record.

Diana will join Simone Felice for his show at The Slaughtered Lamb in London on 15th January. Tickets for the show are on-sale HERE.

New Instant Grat ‘Christmas Morning’ Out Now

Includes New Single With Sigma ‘You And Me As One’

Currently On A Sold Out Winter UK Tour
Headlines Kew The Music 2020 – July 9th

As Jack Savoretti gears up to finish the biggest year of his career, he today announces a special edition of his Number 1 charting, third consecutive UK gold-certified album, ‘Singing To Strangers’ – out December 6th on BMG.

Jack finds himself marvelling at a marvellous year. Months of rapturously received shows across the world; a triumphant, sold-out Wembley Arena homecoming; collaborations with artists as diverse as Kylie, Mika and Sigma; and an album in ‘Singing To Strangers’ that is one of the best selling albums of the year, with sales fast approaching 150,000.

This is no three-b-sides-and-a-Live-in-Pompeii-version-of-the-big-single. Singing To Strangers: Special Edition features three brand new studio tracks, ‘Closer’ and ‘Waiting For The Sun’, plus a stunning original festive track ‘Christmas Morning’ – listen here.

Jack says of the poignant, strings-laden ballad which he wrote for his children; “ I wanted to reassure them that, even if I’m far away, I’ll be there on Christmas morning. I wanted them to have this song they could listen to every Christmas.”

It also includes the Radio 2 A-list smash ‘Youth & Love’ feat. Mika, ‘Music’s Too Sad Without You’ (Jack’s hit duet with Kylie Minogue); the stunning live performance of The Killers ‘Human’ with Ward Thomas from the SSE Arena, Wembley 2019, as well as ‘Candlelight’ from his Radio 2 Ken Bruce Piano Session and Jack’s collaboration with UK artist Sigma ‘You And Me As One’.

“I didn’t want this to feel like another album, nor just some outtakes,” he insists. “It has to feel like its own thing, and also be a step along the way to the next album. So that gives you some creative liberties. I want people to go: ‘Wait, what? He’s doing what with who now?’

Here, then, again, anew, is Jack Savoretti’s masterpiece, offering love and warmth and togetherness in cold and fractious times. He began the year singing to strangers. He’s ending it singing to friends – hundreds of thousands of them.

“I’m the man / The one you hate / Don’t you understand / He’s like me the man…”

Songwriter, singer, and visual artist Jehnny Beth has released an incendiary, industrial new track today called “I’m The Man” as part of the Peaky Blinders soundtrack; the song was first featured in the fourth episode of the show’s current season this past September.

“I’m The Man” is one of only three unreleased tracks on the soundtrack, and was hand chosen for inclusion by Peaky Blinders’ acclaimed director/writer Anthony Byrne during the editing of the last season.  After falling instantly in love with the track, Byrne reached out to Jehnny Beth about using it in an episode, which led to its inclusion on the soundtrack.

Says Jehnny Beth about the track:  “‘I’m The Man’ is an attempted study on humankind, what we define as evil and the inner conflict of morality. Because it is much easier to label the people who are clearly tormented by obsessions as monsters than to discern the universal human background which is visible behind them.  However, this song has not even a remote connection with a sociological study, collective psychology, or present politics; It is a poetic work first and foremost. Its aim is to make you feel, not think.”   Lyrics for the song are below.

Best known as the charismatic lead singer and co-writer of UK band Savages, who received Mercury Prize nominations for their classic two albums Silence Yourself (2013) and Adore Life (2016), this new song is the second offering of Beth’s solo material; the first being the soundtrack for Showtime’s XY Chelsea – a documentary about Chelsea Manning — which she co-wrote and recorded with longtime producer Johnny Hostile.

While Savages have been on a break since 2017, Jehnny Beth has used the time well, making a handful of live guest appearances and collaborating with artists including PJ Harvey, The XX, Gorillaz, The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, and Anna Calvi.

‘Merry Christmas, Darling’ Out November 22nd
Title Track feat. Emeli Sandé – Out Now

He’s been dubbed ‘the golden voice of Africa’ by 16-time Grammy Award-winning Humberto Gatica (Michael Buble, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion) and now Nigerian sensation Timi Dakolo releases his debut UK album ‘Merry Christmas, Darling’ November 22nd on Hafe Music/Virgin EMI. The stunning title track, featuring Emeli Sandé, is released today – listen here.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, Timi presents a simply gorgeous, heartfelt collection of soulful Christmas ballads backed by the London Symphony Orchestra. ‘Merry Christmas, Darling’ combines Timi’s unique voice with some of the greatest classical standards ever written. The album, which was two years in the making was additionally recorded in Libreville, Budapest, Lagos and Los Angeles.

The album is Executively Produced by Mr. Ali Bongo Ondimba – the visionary behind the project. Producers Humberto Gatica and award-winning jazz composer Frederic Michel Gassita came together with co-Executive Producer Efe Ogbeni, to create what is set to be the soundtrack of the Holiday. Timi said of recording at Abbey Road studios; “Recording this album one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was like a dream I didn’t want to wake up from.”
Born in Ghana to a Nigerian father and a Ghanaian mother, Timi was primarily raised by his grandmother in Port Harcourt, south-eastern Nigeria, after his mother died when he was just 13. His love of singing was nurtured by his grandmother.

Timi is well known in Nigeria since winning the country’s first ever televised talent competition. His soulful, r&b debut album followed as did a series of stirring, emotional singles including ‘Great Nation’ which has been adopted as the nations second national anthem. His determination to stay true to himself has made him one of Africa’s most loved artists in a music scene dominated by Afrobeats. Influenced by Teddy Pendegrass, Michael Buble, Sam Smith and Luther Vandross, Timi’s eclectic musical palette has inspired him to create music with crossover appeal.

‘Merry Christmas Darling’ is his first Christmas album and also features Eric Benet on ‘White Christmas’, Kenny G. and The Eben Voices of Gabon Choir on ‘Hallelujah’.
