Release ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ ft. Grammy-Nominated Country Star Cam

New Album ‘Invitation’ Out Now

Rescheduled UK Tour This November

Everyone’s favourite sisters, Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas, release a cracking new mix of album highlight ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’, featuring Grammy-nominated US country star Cam. The track originally appeared on their acclaimed recent album ‘Invitation’.

Mixed by Dan Grech (George Ezra, The Killers, Halsey), Ward Thomas’ new take on ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ is strikingly rhythmic. Cam adds a further touch of country class to proceedings as her voice effortlessly blends with Catherine and Lizzy.

“We’ve always loved the idea of having another vocalist on ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’,” Ward Thomas said. “We love Cam’s music and songwriting skills, but also admire her attitude as a Nashville artist on many issues close to our hearts. To have her sing on one of our songs is a real treat.”

Cam, who has written songs for Sam Smith and Miley Cyrus, released her third album, ‘The Otherside’, last year to critical acclaim. Her double-platinum GRAMMY, CMA and ACM-nominated single, ‘Burning House’, remains the bestselling country song by a female solo artist since its release in 2015.

Of the track Cam said, “I love and miss the UK country community so much! I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Lizzy & Catherine over the years and I just adore them and their killer harmonies. So of course I couldn’t say no when they asked me to join them on this addictive tune.”

‘Don’t Be A Stranger’ was co-written by Catherine and Lizzy with British writers Fiona Bevan and Hight. The track was also produced by Hight who has recently had significant Top10 airplay and sales success in Germany and co-wrote the latest offering from rising star Zoe Wees. The rest of “Invitation” was largely produced by Jonathan Quarmby (Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker, Finley Quaye), and mostly recorded in lockdown from Catherine and Lizzy’s Hampshire cottage; ’Invitation’ represents an exciting new chapter for Ward Thomas.

Ward Thomas will embark on an intimate “Invitation” acoustic tour, which has been rescheduled for November 2021. The 16-date run includes two nights at London’s Union Chapel on the 29th & 30th.

Sets Sail In Video For Moving New Single

 ‘You Don’t Feel Like Home’

Following the release of his empowering single ‘Just Smile’ late last year, rising artist Jack In Water returns with his first taste of new music in 2021 with the poignant ‘You Don’t Feel Like Home’. The track is another preview of his forthcoming debut album, due later this year on Nettwerk Records.

Produced by Oli Bayston (Sorry, Loyle Carner, Kelly Lee Owens) and mixed by Claudius Mittendorfer (Parquet Courts, Johnny Marr, Weezer) at Flesh and Bone Studios in East London, ‘You Don’t Feel Like Home’ is a heart-rending song directly drawn from the lust and dread of leaving home. Listen to ’You Don’t Feel Like Home’ HERE.

“I grew up in a little village where I learned how the comfort of knowing everyone and everything around you can quickly become claustrophobic. Though the fear of leaving was as big as the desire to leave I eventually did,” Will said of the track. “And it’s been only after putting some time and distance between us that I have been able to cherish my hometown again and the memories that its corners bring back every time I go there.”

Directed by award-winning film maker Chuchie Hill (Anthony and the Johnsons), the accompanying video is the next chapter in the story following ‘Just Smile’. “The video is a cinematic representation of the journey from my childhood to where I am now,” William says of the video. “You start somewhere that feels very small and you go through all the confusion and darkness trying to figure out who you are and where you belong. Then you essentially realise no one has any idea what they are doing and you find some kind of humbling warmth and acceptance in the unknown!”

Watch the video for ‘You Don’t Feel Like Home’ HERE

Brought up in a little village in Essex, Jack In Water is the alias of singer-songwriter William Clapson. Growing up listening to the diverse musical influences of his parents, it was this mix of art-rock melancholy instrumentation partnered with the emotional soulful voices of the greats, which really drove him to make the music he makes today. With a string of releases under his belt, Jack In Water is definitely one not to let pass you by in 2021.

RELEASE SECOND EPISODE OF ALIVE FROM WHISPERING PINES

Lord Huron have revealed a new single and official music video for ‘Not Dead Yet’ – out now on Polydor. The video finds the band performing in the Whispering Pines studio, where time seems to blur and the long-lost musicians who previously occupied the studio merge with present day. Watch the video here.

A mysterious figure WBUB host Mr. Tubbs Tarbell commented on the video and new track with excitement: “On “Not Dead Yet”, the boys channel the spirits of Whispering Pines for 3 minutes of rip roarin’ euphony. Dang!”

The song and music video arrived in tandem with the second installment of their four-part series—Alive From Whispering Pines.

During its first episode, viewers were introduced to Mr. Tubbs Tarbell, fell under the spell of commercials that may very well be lost tapes from the past, and were treated to some incredible performances by Lord Huron.

The band played some old songs including “Meet Me In The Woods” (view video here) and provided a sneak peak at some new songs. The episode also featured a hotline where fans could call in and ask Mr. Tarbell questions and request songs from the band for Episode 2. Last night’s performance included some fan favorites and even an unreleased song called “Mine Forever.”

The next Alive From Whispering Pines will take place on March 18th. Fans can purchase tickets to each livestream, a season pass to all four shows, and exclusive merch at http://www.lordhuron.com. Two more installments will premiere monthly, with the last episode airing on April 15th.

In 2018, Lord Huron earned widespread critical acclaim and their first Top 5 debut on the Billboard Top 200 with their third album, Vide Noir. A cinematic collection of pensive, provocative, and powerful rock, the record garnered praise from The Guardian, Uncut, NME, The Line Of Best Fit, as well as NPR, Time, Los Angeles Times, Spin, Stereogum, Refinery29, UPROXX, and more, as singles such as “Wait by the River and “When the Night is Over” generated tens of millions of streams and were performed to a sold out London Roundhouse.

“Not Dead Yet” marks the band’s first new music since their 2018. What could be in store for the band next? Only time will tell…

Luke Royalty

Rising Darlington Artist Releases New Single ‘I Do’

In a year that needs more than a glimmer of hope, we introduce you to one of the UK’s finest rising young artists, Luke Royalty. Luke, who burst onto the scene with his single ‘I Could Get Used To This’ ft. Sweets last year, releases his brand-new track ‘I Do’ today via Soul Kitchen Recordings. The trackis the first taste of what Luke has to come in 2021.

Produced by friend and long time collaborator Bob Mackenzie at Motor Museum studios in Liverpool, ‘I Do’ is Luke Royalty at his most vulnerable. Written about the pains and struggles ofbeing stuck in a repetitive lifestyle, the trackis a raw and honest look into Luke’s life in Darlington and being stuck in an endless cycle. With his lyrics flowing at easeover neo-soul guitars and a laid back beat, ‘I Do’ is a trackmade for late nights and early mornings.

Speaking of the song Luke said, “I wrote the lyrics for ‘I do’, ironically, before lockdown. My northern heritage is something that’s so important to me and I’m proud of where I come from, so I took influence from lyricists like Mike Skinner and slowthai in not being ashamed of your lifestyle, accent or slang and tried to stay as authentic as I could.”

Listen to ‘I Do’ HERE

Hailing from Darlington in the North East of England, Luke came from a creative family of artistsand musicians. He, however, avoided dabbling in music until his late teens, preferring to spend his time playing Sunday League football and following his beloved Darlington FC. Upon finding influence in the likes of Mike Skinner, Mac Miller and Frank Ocean, Luke got drawn into the culture of turning his words to music and the rest is history in the making.

Having already garnered support from key players including BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio (‘I Could Get Used To This’ ft. Sweets was added straight to the B list), Luke looks set to be one of the breakout acts of 2021.

Aims & Shoots His Cupid’s Bow In New Track

‘For Lovers’ Out Now

Debut ‘Inside/Outside’ Mixtape Out Now on Hotspring Musi

Calling all you lovers out there: one of the UK’s most exciting new artists and multi-instrumentalists, Sid Stone, has released his romantically jazz infused new track, ‘For Lovers’. The track follows the release of the irresistibly catchy ‘Hold On’, as well as his incredible debut Mixtape, ‘Inside/Outside’, which was released on Hotspring Music last year.

“Oh I need a lover.” Sid’s old-time alluring voice croons in the opening bars of ‘For Lovers’. Partnered with a vivacious electric guitar and tantalizingly smooth backing vocals, ‘For Lovers’ is the feel good soundtrack for Valentines Day.

“This song is a bit of a homage to all the great love songs that have inspired me so much over the years. Otis, Stevie, Bill Withers, all the soul legends,” Sid said of the track. “Right now feels like a good time to embrace the love vibration within us all and move into a higher plane of vibrational existence.”

Listen To ‘For Lovers’ HERE

Sid burst onto the scene with the release of his debut Mixtape, ‘Inside/Outside’. A sum greater than its individual parts, the mixtape is a rhapsody of isolation, a heartfelt elegy to the process of withdrawing/going within as a necessary means to personal and artistic fulfilment. Listen to ‘Inside/Outside’ EP HERE.

Hailing from Somerset, Sid Stone is a seasoned songwriter and a true artist of his craft. With influences taken from a large gene pool borrowing elements from soul, jazz, pop, rap & dance music, his raw and eloquently disheveled vocals bring together a remarkably diverse, but accessible sound. Already garnering support from The Times, Music Week, The Independent, Mahogany and Spindle Magazine, Sid Stone is poised for greatness and is an artist that is as exciting as he is essential.

Plays ‘Cupid’ For Valentine’s Day

16-Track Love-Themed Digital Playlist Features Some Of The Legendary Singer-Songwriter’s Most Memorable Love Songs, Along With Five Rarities That Will Make Their Streaming Debut

Available Feb 12th From Rhino, Pre-Save Now

Sir Rod Stewart loves to sing about love. It’s a subject the legendary singer-songwriter has explored consistently throughout his career as one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Stewart’s fan-adored hits are just right for the moment.

“I’ve always been a hopeless romantic, and this list is perfect for that candle lit date night,” says Stewart.  “No need to be a DJ, just press play and focus on your lover.”

Available for streaming on February 12, Rhino aims straight for the heart with CUPID, a new love-themed digital playlist from Stewart. The 16-track collection mixes some of his best-known love songs with five rarities that have never been available digitally until now. In celebration of the release, a new Valentine’s Day-themed Instagram filter with audio from the song “Cupid” will make its debut, along with a new lyric video.

CUPID sets the mood with indelible songs like “Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright)” (#1US/#5 UK) and “The First Cut Is The Deepest” (#1UK/#21US), both from Stewart’s multi-platinum album, A Night On The Town (1976). That prolific era is revisited for “You’re In My Heart (The Final Acclaim)” (#3UK/#4US) from the follow-up, Footloose & Fancy Free (1977), the singer’s second multi-platinum solo album. Meanwhile, the collection’s title track, “Cupid,” is a bonus track taken from the 2009 Expanded Edition of Stewart’s 19th studio album, Human (2001).

The playlist marks the digital debut for several songs, including two b-sides: “Love In The Right Hands,” which accompanied the unplugged version of “Reason To Believe” in 1993, and “One Night,” which was the flip side to “Have I Told You Lately.”

CUPID taps two of Stewart’s best-loved film contributions with the Top 10 US hit, “Love Touch” (1986) from Legal Eagles and the #3 US hit “Faith Of The Heart” (1998) from the Patch Adams Soundtrack; the latter is making its digital debut.

A number of songs on the playlist spotlight music the singer released during the 1990s, including the Top 40 hit “This” from A Spanner In The Works (1995), “For The First Time” from the platinum-certified If We Fall In Love Tonight (1996) and his tender cover of Van Morrison’s “Have I Told You Lately” from the platinum-certified Vagabond Heart (1991).

One of the most talented singers in rock and pop music, Stewart has sold more than 250 million records worldwide during a stellar career that includes nine #1 albums and 26 Top 10 singles in the UK; plus 17 Top 10 albums and 16 Top 10 singles in the US.

“Blending traditional country with blues, rock and a little modern pop sensibility gives this Canadian an edge over her Nashville rivals.” – Daily Star

Today, chart topping musician, vocalist and songwriter Lindsay Ell has dropped the brilliant track, ‘Hits me, taken from last year’s incredibly personal concept album ‘heart theory’. The song delivers exactly as the title suggests – hitting hard on both a lyrical level, coupled with a driving beat that explodes into a chorus of pure excellence.

Watch the visualiser for ‘Hits me’ HERE

Linday says of the track; “‘Hits me’ is the song that started this whole record.  It was the first song that I wrote and knew that I’d written something special.  The first drum hit  is where all the magic starts and I think that most people can relate to the feeling of shock that this song is about. Particularly now, given the circumstance we’ve collectively been living through this past year.”

heart theory, Lindsay’s sophomore album, landed in style last year, debuting inside the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Top 5 on the UK Country Album Chart. Receiving critical acclaim in the UK, The Sun declared that “her time is now”, with the Daily Star suggesting that her “pop sensibility gives this Canadian an edge over her Nashville rivals”, and Fabulous Magazine brilliantly branding Lindsay as “the new country queen” that “could give Tay-Tay a run for her money!”

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Lindsay Ell will be performing songs from heart theory for the first time ever in a #LiveRedesigned concert experience on Friday, Feb 12th, 2021. The show will be a charity event, with all net proceeds donated to Crew Nation and other beneficiary organisations soon to be announced. Lindsay’s band and onsite crew will be paid, but all companies involved will be donating their time and equipment, while artist, creatives and management will be donating their time and services. Special guests performing with Ell will be announced in the coming week. Tickets, which will be based on a pay-what-you-can model, are on sale now and available here. The stream will remain live for 48 hours after the premiere event.

Lindsay Ell is a triple threat: accomplished musician, unique vocalist and awe-inspiring songwriter – an impeccable cross between Sheryl Crow and Taylor Swift. Lindsay honed her craft as a musical stylist and songwriter after being discovered by BTO and The Guess Who’s Randy Bachman (“American Woman” / “Taking Care of Business”) who discovered her at the age of 13. The multi-instrumentalist was soon touring alongside the likes of Luke Bryan, Buddy Guy, and Keith Urban.

for her money.” Fabulous Magazine

Return With New Single ‘Things Are Different’

New Album Coming Soon

Gearing up for a big year worldwide, Irish international phenomenon, Picture This, return with a new single entitled “Things Are Different” today.  Co-produced by GRAMMY® Award winning producers The Monsters & Strangerz [Justin Bieber, Halsey], German [Camilla Cabello, Liam Payne], and Picture This, “Things Are Different” sets the stage for their forthcoming third studio album to arrive later this year.

Listen to ‘Things Are Different’ HERE

The track’s lyrical intimacy belies its sweeping scope. Cinematic synths coast over rapturous guitars and a stadium-size beat. Everything culminates with an affirmation appropriate for the moment on the chorus, “Just cuz things are different don’t mean anything has changed.”

Picture This lead singer, Ryan Hennessy, comments on the new single, “‘Things Are Different’ is a song that I may never have written if it wasn’t for the chaos that was going on in the world around me.  Normally I write love songs about people who have been in my life and who I have been in relationships with and this too is a love song. However, this time it is a love song to the world.”

Ryan continues, “A lot of things are different in the world we live in right now, but what will never change no matter what the circumstances are our morals, our passions, our beliefs and who we are as people. We now as a civilisation have to pick up where we left off and step into a new world with love and compassion in our hearts, both for ourselves and for those around us.”

Representing music’s biggest global underdog story, Picture This have unassumingly captivated listeners in every corner of the world, amassing nearly 300 million total streams, selling out stadiums, and inspiring praise from Billboard, ThisSongIsSick, and many more. Emerging from Ireland with a cinematic pop rock style of their own, the band’s 2017 self-tilted full-length debut, Picture This, kicked off a history-making run. In Ireland, it went triple-platinum, clinched #1 on Ireland’s Overall Chart for four weeks, and topped the Streaming Chart for seven weeks. In its wake, ticket sales eclipsed 500K as they headlined stadiums back home and various hallowed venues, including O2 Shepherd’s Bush London, SSE Arena Belfast, and 3Arena. 2019’s MDRN LV yielded hits such as “One Drink” and “Everything Or Nothing” and stood out as “the top-selling album from an Irish Artist in 2019. They maintained this momentum by touring with Jonas Brothers and unveiling the 2020 fan favorite “Unconditional. However, they show no signs of stopping or slowing down in 2021 either.

Donate Video Production Budget To Scottish Refugee Council

Somebody Loves You’ Out Now

Highly Anticipated Debut Album ‘W.L.’ Out 19th March

Massive 2021 UK Tour

Includes London’s Kentish Town Forum & 3 Sold-out Shows at Glasgow’s Barrowland

Following the announcement of their raucous, hook laden debut album, W.L. out 19th March on Parlophone Records – The Snuts have today released their infectious new single ‘Somebody Loves You’, which premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, alongside an emotionally uplifting video for the track.

A love song for the ages, with its title deep-rooted in the desire to check in on people closest to us, the radio-ready indie-pop tune sees the band step into another direction with ‘Somebody Loves You’.

Three simple words: ‘Somebody Loves You’, spray painted all across my city. It is a simple but powerful reminder,” Jack said of the track. “As the days disappeared into months, I noticed myself and everyone around me scrambling to stay in touch, to check up on each other. There was something really special about this to me. I don’t think anyone really saw that coming. It shouldn’t take a global pandemic to remind us how important the people we care about are, but I’m kind of glad it did.”

A charity close to their hearts, the band teamed up with the Scottish Refugee Council to create the video and help raise awareness for the charity. Directed by Michael Sherrington and shot in Glasgow, the video follows the lives of people directly affected by the actions and efforts of the charity, who with the help of the Scottish Refugee Council have made a home in Glasgow. As well as the band donating the video budget to the charity, the band’s label, Parlophone Records, will also donate all proceeds from downloads of the single.

Speaking of the video Jack said, “When our record label asked what we’d do if they gave us the full video budget, immediately we decided to use our platform to help bring attention to the Scottish Refugee Council here in Glasgow. The song for us is a universal message of love and compassion and the work of this charity and others like it is something I am particularly inspired by.” He continued, “It  is exactly this sense of an expanding and welcoming community spirit we hope to portray with this video.”

Watch the video for ‘Somebody Loves You’ HERE

Hailing from Whitburn, West Lothian, The Snuts have well and truly found their stride on W.L.. Produced by Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix, M83) and recorded at the Firepit London, the album encapsulates the band’s journey from four working class kids growing up with a dream in Whitburn, to becoming one of the UK’s most exciting and vital bands of the new decade.

Adored up and down the country for their uninhibited, sweat-drenched live shows, the band have also announced a UK tour for May/June 2021, including 3 sold-out dream shows at Glasgow’s Barrowland.

Announces Debut Album Blame It On The Youts
Out March 12th on Alacran Records
New Single‘Fly ‘Em High’ ft. UK rapper Nines – out now

WATCH VISUALISER HERE

After a year of worldwide restraint and pent up dissatisfaction, Tanzanian-born and London-based singer, songwriter and producer, Tiggs Da Author, comes bursting out of the traps in 2021 with the announcement of his stellar debut album, ‘Blame It On The Youts’ – out March 12th on Alacran Records.

Recorded in the storied RAK studios with engineer Jonathan Quarmby (Lewis Capaldi, Tom Walker, Plan B), and featuring a highly charged, twelve-dose blend of Afrobeat, Afrojazz and Afrosoul splendour, ‘Blame It On The Youts’ is a bold, bright & brilliant album, packed full of hard hitting messages born from frustration, but with the aim to inspire and help make a change. This is an album that lyrically resonates in the current climate. It’s an album that has something to say.

Tiggs also today drops a brand new single from the album – Fly ‘Em High’ – featuring UK rapper Nines, whom he performed on and co-wrote the track ‘Oh My’ with, which landed a coveted slot on the soundtrack to the huge Netflix show Top Boy – as well as collaborating on Nines’ track ‘NIC’ from, his UK number 1 album‘Crabs In A Bucket’. The song, produced by Show n Prove receivedits first spin onBBC 1Xtralast night from DJ Target. Watch the Jack Brown / JB London Animation  – directed arcade visualiser HERE.

Tiggs says of the track; “Myself and Nines have been working together since around 2015. Since then we’ve just been making back to back bangers! We have good chemistry, so it makes everything easier. This song speaks for itself, has a nice vibe and as always, is a little different. We don’t try to recreate. This is one of the pockets we haven’t explored before.”With Nines adding; “Tiggs is a very special artist. I always enjoy working with him.”

The album is biographical, but its sentiments ring loud and clear. “Listen to this and you’ll be in the brain of this teenager who’s explaining exactly how he feels. Me moving from Tanzania then growing up in south London with no father figure. You just have to learn from your mistakes and teach yourself how to be a man.”

Equally important is representing as much as possible multiple sounds of Africa. Mali has its own sound, Congo its own sound, South Africa, Tanzania, Nigeria…Africa has multiple sonic tributaries, and many of them flow together on Tiggs’ vibrant, vivid, continent-sized album.

Growing up in New Cross, London, Tiggs loved football first, and played to semi professional level. But then in came grime. Dizzee Rascal and Kano in particular. Ghanaian north Londoner Swaytook him under his wing, mentoring Tiggs, helping introduce him to labels and ultimately cooking up a collaboration between Sway, Tiggs and YouTuber-turned-musician KSI.

2019 saw the release of his eleven-track ‘MOREFIRE’ mixtape featuring guest appearances from NSG  NOT3S. Additionally, Tiggs produced, co-wrote, and featured on Stefflon Don’s single‘Pretty Girl’, and contributed to J Hus’ gold-selling debut album ‘Common Sense’.

This is the Tiggs story, told via an album that further amplifies the success of the African wave of artists like Burna Boy and Naira Marley– and that also taps into neo-the new strain of classic soul exemplified by Leon Bridges and Michael Kiwanuka. Equally, though, as we might expect from the title, ‘Blame It On The Youts’ is an album in touch with the realities of life right now.

It is, he concludes, his journey, his story and his success. Twelve tracks that chronicle a young life. “It’s a journey that starts in Tanzania, goes to New Cross, and will hopefully end up on a stage somewhere in Europe in the near future. The album captures everything.”

CELEBRATE DAVE GROHL’S BIRTHDAY WITH “WAITING ON A WAR”

THIRD ADVANCE TRACK FROM MEDICINE AT MIDNIGHT

AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER AT http://foofighters.co/MAM

Hot on the heels of “No Son of Mine,” Foo Fighters unleash another dose of Medicine at Midnight in the form of “Waiting on a War”. The track is a sprawling melodic opus that gradually builds to a patented FF rave-up.

If “Waiting on a War” seems to have an especially emotional heft to its lyrics, well, that’s because it does. Dave Grohl recounts the personal anecdote that inspired the song:

Last fall, as I was driving my daughter to school, she turned to me and asked, “Daddy, is there going to be a war?” My heart sank as I realized that she was now living under the same dark cloud that I had felt 40 years ago.

I wrote “Waiting on a War” that day.

Everyday waiting for the sky to fall. Is there more to this than that? Is there more to this than just waiting on a war? Because I need more. We all do.

This song was written for my daughter, Harper, who deserves a future, just as every child does.

Medicine at Midnight (out February 5th on Roswell Records/Columbia Records) is produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters, engineered by Darrell Thorp and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent, and packs the following nine songs into a tight-ass 37 minutes:

      Making a Fire

      Shame Shame

      Cloudspotter

      Waiting on a War

      Medicine at Midnight

      No Son of Mine

      Holding Poison

      Chasing Birds

      Love Dies Young

Foo Fighters are Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, and Rami Jaffee.
