Unheard EPOut Today

Sells Out 45,000 Capacity London’s Finsbury Park – July 7th

+ Chepstow Racecourse (Jul 9th) & Glasgow Green (Jul 10th)

World-renowned singer-songwriter Hozier has today released an absolute treat for fans in the shape of Unheard EP.

After sharing the news on social media last week, alongside a video of a sketchbook, it was revealed that the EP will contain four unreleased songs, originally recorded during the sessions for latest chart-topping album Unreal Unearth. These include ‘Too Sweet’, ‘Empire Now’, ‘Fare Well’, and ‘Wildflower and Barley’ featuring Canadian Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and activist, Allison Russell.

Hozier says; “It’s my pleasure to announce the release of more work from the album sessions which could not make the original release. These are songs that might’ve made it to the circles of gluttony, limbo, violence and the outward ‘ascent’ respectively but could not for different reasons. I’m very glad I’ll get to share them with you.”

In August last year Hozier scored his first ever UK number 1 with that very third studio album Unreal Unearth. The Irish superstar has cemented himself as one of the greatest songwriters in his field with a record that spawned world class tracks in “Eat Your Young,” “All Things End,” “Francesca” & “De Selby (Part 2)”. He outsold the entire UK Top 5 combined in release week and also scored the top spot in Ireland, as well as securing his first ever number 1 album in the Netherlands and top 5 spots in the USA and Germany.

This summer will see Hozier perform outdoor shows, including a sold out date at London’s 45,000 capacity Finsbury Park on July 7th – which will be his biggest UK headline show to date. This follows what was an incredible 2023 on the live circuit which included a triumphant surprise set at Glastonbury, an acclaimed sold out show at Ally Pally Park, and over a million tickets sold worldwide for his sold-out headline tour, which saw him conquer arenas including London’s OVO Arena Wembley.

Walking in the footsteps of Harry Houdini and beyond the long shadow of Charlie Chaplin, Frank Carson and the great Leonard Sachs, Elvis Costello brings his new presentation “15 SONGS FROM 50 YEARS” to the City Varieties Music Hall in Leeds on Monday, 2nd September and Tuesday, 3rd September, staging four unique performances over two days, each of approximately a 75-minute duration.

The 7.00PM soiree will feature an entirely different repertoire to that of the 9.30PM performance, with songs selected from each of the five decades of Costello’s astonishing songwriting endeavors.

Tickets go on-sale Friday 22nd March at 10am from ElvisCostello.com.

City Varieties Music Hall

Monday, 2nd September – 2 SHOWS | 7.00PM and 9.30PM

Tuesday, 3rd September – 2 SHOWS | 7.00PM and 9.30PM

A fifteen-song programme will be printed in advance with few, if any repeats anticipated (but with the possibility of impromptu choices along the way). Costello and Nieve very occasionally take requests but should never be mistaken for a jukebox.

The third and fourth performances on the following day will propose a deuce of delights; two entirely different 15-song set-lists selected from half a century of popular songwriting craft.

The four shows are guaranteed to feature 60 different songs but we suspect this is just the start.

Those who want to attend all four contrasting shows in this exclusive engagement can obtain a special season ticket to include premium seats for each show in the front rows or boxes with exclusive use of the bar in between shows.

Do not dilly-dally or delay to avoid disappointment.

OUT JUNE 28TH VIA THIRTY TIGERS

‘PLEASE COME ON INSIDE’ – LISTEN HERE

Acclaimed jazz singer, songwriter and interpreter Madeleine Peyroux will release Let’s Walk, her first album in six years, on June 28th.

The new songs present sides of the artist only touched on in the past. The collection is her most diverse, intimate and bold work as she shares thoughtful and revealing views on personal and societal concerns. Peyroux offers hope through understanding and community by using one of our most unifying means, music.

Let’s Walk is Peyroux’s ninth album and the first in which she co-wrote every song with longtime collaborator Jon Herington. As evidenced from her new single ‘Please Come On Inside’, Peyroux has empathy and wisdom to impart. While many of us have lost a connection or a relationship with someone close due to these polarising and divisive times, Peyroux offers a way back through compassion and kindness. Listen to ‘Please Come On Inside’ HERE.

Stylistically, Let’s Walk may be Peyroux’s most varied yet cohesive collection thus far. She incorporates elements of jazz, folk, gospel blues, Americana, chamber pop, Latin rhythms and a little playful humour into the mix. The songs are interwoven around contemplative, observational and confessional narratives, making it the deepest and most substantive album of her illustrious catalogue.

The title track was inspired by the mass mobilisation of everyday people standing up and unifying for civil rights around the world in 2020. The stunning “How I Wish” is a soul-searching awakening in response to the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery. On “Nothing Personal,” she addresses sexual assault – both her own, and countless others, with her aching and poignant vocals.

As much depth and soul searching as Let’s Walk presents, there is a lighter side as well. The playful “Me and the Mosquito” features a Caribbean-infused rhythm and vocal as Peyroux tackles the ever-elusive pest that will not let her sleep at night. She closes the album with a humorous, while somewhat serious advisory, via  the tongue-in-cheek, speedy spoken-word track “Take Care”, inspired by the dub poet and activist Linton Kwesi Johnson.

Let’s Walk finds Madeleine Peyroux in the most freely creative place of her celebrated career. With eight albums and worldwide acclaim, she refuses to stand still as she arrives at a new artistic and creative plateau. True artists always continue to move forward, much like the album title suggests.

New Album $10 Cowboy out April 26th via Son of Davy/Thirty Tigers

Plays Three Headline Shows @ London’s Hoxton Hall
May 6th, 7th & 8th

“One of the modern kings of country traditionalism” – Variety

Today, Charley Crockett releases ‘Hard Luck & Circumstances,’ another new song from his upcoming album $10 Cowboy (out April 26th via Son of Davy/Thirty Tigers). For $10 Cowboy, Crockett wrote freely, over a two-month period, as he wound his way across the United States on the back of a tour bus. The resulting songs—raw, personal, vivid portraits of a country in transition—ended up being connected.

This material is written at truck stops, it’s written at casinos, it’s written in the alleys behind the venues, it’s written in my truck parked up on South Congress in Austin,” explains Charley Crockett. “A ramblin’ man like me, a genuine transient, is in a pretty damn good position to have something to say about America.”

On ‘Hard Luck & Circumstances,’ Crockett gives expression to a trait deeply embedded in the American psyche—resilience. In the country’s founding mythology, and in most popular art, the plucky underdog battles and triumphs over long odds. In country music, and on Crockett’s $10 Cowboy, victory rarely comes; resilience is in the struggle itself, and the defiance it forges.

$10 Cowboy was recorded at Arlyn Studios in Austin, TX, produced by Crockett and his long-time collaborator Billy Horton. It was recorded live to tape, with anywhere from 6-12 musicians on each track, giving the songs the feel of a live performance. It’s a sound Crockett has been after for years. “The reason I cut it on tape is, when you get the right folks in the room, great players rise to the occasion. When that red light is on and the tape is rolling, you get the magic of a performance.

Already an accomplished songwriter, Charley continues to evolve and grow and deepen. A lifelong student of Bob Dylan, he explores a style favoured by Dylan throughout $10 Cowboy, songs with no lyrical hook, just a turn of phrase.

No, Crockett didn’t set out to write a themed record. Or, through his studied eye, to find America. But with $10 Cowboy, he might have done both.

A regular on British shores, in recent years Crockett has headlined Shepherds Bush Empire, Jazz Cafe, as well as playing End Of The Road Festival in 2023. Charley will return to the capital in May, playing what will be three electric nights at London’s Hoxton Hall on May 6th, 7th & 8th. For further ticket info head HERE.

TAKEN FROM THIRD STUDIO ALBUM I WISH YOU WAY MORE THAN LUCK
OUT APRIL 5TH

Today, pysch-pop four-piece Lo Moon offer another taste from their forthcoming third studio album, I Wish You Way More Than Luck, with ‘Borrowed Hills’. A true coming of age record, ‘Borrowed Hills’ set the tone and theme for the entire album. Listen HERE

Speaking about the track, Lo Moon’s Matt Lowell reveals, “Like many of us, I had an overwhelming feeling of confusion during the height of the pandemic in 2020.  It was a feeling that was strangely reminiscent of another time in my life…2001.  I was recruited to play hockey as a kid and was attending Pomfret School in Connecticut during 9/11. My older sister was living in Manhattan, my parents were on Long Island and all communication was down. That complete confusion and isolation drew me to music and I picked up my roommate’s guitar and over the next week or so wrote my first song. My music teacher at the time convinced me to play the song in front of the entire student body in the iconic chapel on campus.  Expressing the vulnerable feelings of the time and hearing my voice reverberating through that chapel altered my life. In December 2020, I went back to The Clark Chapel in search of reconnecting with that feeling.  I hit record on my phone and Borrowed Hills was the first idea that came out. I shared it with the band and immediately we were on a path for our third record. During the recording process of the album we went back to the chapel, to capture the spirit of that room. We knew we needed to have that reverb, that pipe organ, that piano, our voices singing together in that space, and the overall feeling of just being in that space. So much of what we recorded in those couple days together made this record, and it all started with Borrowed Hills.”

Borrowed Hills” follows the band’s announcement last month that their highly anticipated third studio album, I Wish You Way More Than Luck, is due for release April 5th via Thirty Tigers / The Orchard. Accompanying the announcement, the band shared two new tracks, including focus single, “Water” and a b-side “Connecticut,” – Listen HERE.

All three tracks were written by Matt Lowell and produced by Mike Vernon Davis (Ratboys, Pool Kids, Great Grandpa), with Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, U2, Ride, The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins) mixing the record.

Accompanying the new music, an official Saoli Nash-directed music video for “Water.”  The video’s Creative Director, Warren Fu (Daft Punk, The Strokes, Depeche Mode, The Killers), a close friend and frequent collaborator from over the years, directed the official video for “Evidence” last year, as well as their first music video for “Loveless,”

New music follows the band’s tour last year which included four SOLD OUT nights at The Lexington in London. They also completed SOLD OUT underplay residencies last fall in Los Angeles, which saw them play four packed-to-the-rafters shows at Zebulon, and three jam-packed shows at the iconic Piano’s in New York City’s Lower East Side. Throughout the run, the band was joined by special guests, including Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES (WATCH), Adam Granduciel from The War On Drugs (WATCH), Curt Smith from Tears For Fears (WATCH) and Bartees Strange (WATCH).

Lo Moon comprises bassist/keyboardist Crisanta Baker, guitarist Sam Stewart, drummer Sterling Laws, and Lowell, the group’s singer, and chief songwriter. The band has toured with everyone from The War on Drugs, Phoenix, Glass Animals and Air to London Grammar, Chvrches, Metric, Muna and The Lemon Twigs.

Out August 9th On Staple Diet Records

New Single ‘World Class Entertainment’ Out Now

November UK Headline Tour Announced
London, Brixton Electric – Nov 14th

Headline Shows @ Glasgow O2 Academy – May 23rd & 24th

After a couple of tasters released either side of the new year, Scotland’s finest alt-rockers Twin Atlantic are back with new album Meltdown. The album will be released August 9th digitally and September 13th on physical formats on the band’s own label, Staple Diet.

The band returned with the album’s first taste in raucous pop-rocker ‘Stuck In The Car With You’ late last year, which was followed by the frantically, euphoric ‘Asleep’, alongside a run of sold-out intimate dates across the UK. Now they release the album’s third cut in new single ‘World Class Entertainment’. A riff heavy, sweat drenched banger, the track is Twin Atlantic at their guitar driven best; raw, loud and packed with a punch. Listen To ‘World Class Entertainment’ HERE.

On the band’s new single, frontman Sam McTrusty says; “Sometimes during the making of an album, I can’t help but make fun of the whole thing. The day we wrote World Class Entertainment we set out to do just that. Turn everything up to 11, make every lyric sarcastic and opinionated. There’s a massive trend in the culture of excess and judgement, and that’s how this angsty fun flashing neon sign of a song was born. It’s great to be back kicking heads in with riffs. Lets go!”

Produced by McTrusty and bassist Ross McNae and mixed by longtime collaborator Romesh Dodangoda, from top to bottom Meltdown is a return to form for the band. Eleven slices of infectious, masterful pop-rock, Meltdown is equal parts guitar heavy bangers and emotionally driven heartfelt anthems. With one foot firmly in nostalgia, while wholeheartedly looking to the future, Twin Atlantic are back to their very best.

Over the last 18 months we have been relentlessly obsessing over the making of a new album. We built two studios to have our own freedom and space to dig deeper into the essence of our band,” Sam said of the recording process. “That freedom evolved into engineering and producing the album ourselves. Zero outside influences. What we’ve got in the end is something we are so proud of and feels like our best work yet. The time felt right to revisit our roots and dive back into the big chorus’s and massive guitars that shaped our band’s early years, but obviously having lived life and toured the world since then we found an evolution of that sound.”

The band have also unveiled a fresh set of UK headline dates for November, which will see ten shows across the isles, including London’s Brixton Electric on November 14th. Before that, Twin Atlantic head out on a short Scottish run in May for a date at Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen and two very special homecoming shows at Glasgow’s O2 Academy in May 2024.

Sophomore Album Dedicated To Out June 14th

The hype is now theirs to own”- The Forty Five

VEPS are leaning hard into a very rough and ready DIY aesthetic, and I am absolutely here for it” – Far Out Magazine

“The band was born out of friendship, with their playfully subversive songwriting fusing alt-pop with indie rock elements” – Clash Magazine

Rising Norwegian alt-indie pop quartet Veps release their raucous new single ‘So Speak’. The track is the second to be taken from their sophomore album Dedicated To, which comes out via Miktam Records/Universal Music on June 14th.

Produced by Marcus Forsgren and mixed by Matias Tellez (Girl In Red, Maisie Peters), ‘So Speak,’ is a pulsating, garage rock gem. “The track is our interpretation about how people act when they are arguing,” the band said of the track. “It’s about those times where you’re bickering with someone, and your counterpart is unwilling or unable to let go and say exactly what’s on their mind. It’s that feeling of what it’s like to be the only one screaming even though nobody seems to listen.”

Directed by Iver Eriksen, the video for ‘So Speak’ sees the band air out their pains as they deal with internal conflicts and frustrations. “What if, in ten years from now, we are world famous and have really let this all go to our heads? The video dramatises us, a couple of notches more neurotic and extreme than the true versions of ourselves, settling our differences in the boxing ring.” Listen HERE and watch the video HERE.

Veps deliver another collection of indie pop bangers on second album Dedicated To. Finding a sound with a new sense of maturity and freedom, the band haven’t strayed far from their raw, DIY ethics on the LP. Opening with the beautiful, piano driven track ‘Break & Entry’, the album includes raucous new single ‘Greetings From Peru,’ the emotionally vibe filled ‘Say What?,’ the jagged, dark synth popper ‘For Thirsty Dogs’ and future live favourite ‘So Speak’.

Formed when the girls were 14 years old, Veps, now 20 years old, have already achieved more than they could have imagined at that age. Releasing their debut EP Open The Door to acclaim in 2021, the band followed with their beautifully frantic debut full length Oslo Park in 2022. Already ticking off a plethora of international festivals including The Great Escape, Reeperbahn and Stag & Dagger, as well as Norway’s biggest festival Øyafestival, Veps completed their debut UK headline tour in spring 2022, culminating with a headline date at Sebright Arms in London.

Now signed to new label Miktam Records/Universal Music and with a craft of song writing well beyond their tender years, Veps, with their seamless blend of 90s indie aesthetic with classic pop hooks, are ready to take 2024 by storm.

Veps are Helena Mariero Olasveengen (keys/vocals), June K. Urholt (bass), Laura Dodson (guitar/vocals) & Maja B. Berge (drums)

Critically-Acclaimed New Album The Light Fantastic Out Now

‘Wonderfully grown-up pop music delivered by an adept songwriter’ – 4* MOJO
“A splendid solo set of sumptuous vocal harmonies” UNCUT
‘A beautifully realised, heart-on-sleeve triumph, filled with rich melodic textures and gorgeous harmonies’ – 4.5* The Sun SFTW
“This is hazy music, with purpose, and very pretty with it.” 4* The Times

Following the release of his acclaimed new album The Light Fantastic last month, one of the country’s most underrated singer-songwriters, John Bramwell, has announced a run of UK dates for November 2024.

John celebrated the release of The Light Fantastic, which Hifi+ Magazine exclaimed in their 5* is “proof that he is one of the UK’s best and most underrated singer-songwriters,” with a run of captivating sold-out dates last month. John illuminated the capital with three shows at London’s St Pancras Old Church, alongside a date at Bristol’s Folk House and a euphoric hometown show at Manchester’s Stoller Hall last week.

With an extensive run of already announced dates throughout the summer, John Bramwell will continue to mesmerise up and down the UK this November. Kicking off at London’s EartH on Friday 15th, the tour will culminate with a hometown date at Manchester’s New Century Hall on Wednesday November 27th. Tickets for the newly announced dates go on-sale Friday March 8th at 10:00 am GMT HERE.

Lauded across the board, The Light Fantastic is a masterclass in emotionally charged and melodically driven tunes for the adventurous. All 12 tracks were written by John except for ‘Nobody Left But You’ which he co-wrote with album producer Dave Fidler.

After both my Mum and Dad died, I started writing these songs to cheer myself up,” John admits with typical candour. “The themes are taken from my dreams at the time. Wake up and take whatever impression I had from what I could remember of my dream and write that.

Despite the sentiment, the songs are surprisingly uplifting. And have been lighting up live shows across the country.

NEW ALBUM OUT APRIL 26TH

‘Broken Man’ Track and Video Out Now

Annie Clark, the musician better known as triple-GRAMMY-winning iconoclast St. Vincent, has confirmed the release date of her seventh full-length studio album: All Born Screaming will be delivered April 26th via Virgin Music/Fiction Records.

St. Vincent’s first self-produced record, All Born Screaming is Clark at her most unfiltered. Assuming the mantle of sole producer made for an unprecedented direct translation to tape of the sounds originating in her head, heart and hands:

“There are some places, emotionally, that you can only get to by taking the long walk into the woods alone—to find out what your heart is really saying,” Clark says. “It sounds real because it is real.”

All Born Screaming is an invitation to test the limits of what is possible–and to then keep going;  Brought to life with the aid of a highly curated dream lineup of friends — Rachel Eckroth, Josh Freese, Dave Grohl, Mark Guiliana, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Stella Mogzawa and David Ralicke — the album is an unadulterated expression of St. Vincent’s singular vision.

Exhibit A is ‘Broken Man’, the first advance offering from the gauntlet of emotional wreckage that is side one of All Born Screaming. The song is a sonic juggernaut that shatters preconceived expectations and introduces the album with an irrefutable power–one that arrives in tandem with a video shot in Philadelphia in mid-January by Alex Da Corte, whose visuals complete the album’s distinct aesthetic. The video made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, mtvU and the Paramount Times Square billboards.

All Born Screaming was produced by St. Vincent and mixed by Cian Riordan. The album’s track listing is as follows:

Hell is Near

Reckless

Broken Man

Flea

Big Time Nothing

The Power’s Out
